Press Conference & Ribbon Cutting: 10:00 a.m.

The event begins with a press conference and ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of the Engineering Student Success & Research Building. Remarks from UofL President, Governor, Louisville Mayor, Speed School Dean, Speed School Student Council President will highlight the building’s impact and its role in the next century of Speed School innovation. Media, guests, and the campus community are invited to mark this historic moment.

Building Tours: 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Guests will take part in guided tours of the new Engineering Student Success & Research Building, designed to highlight the cutting-edge spaces that support student achievement, innovation, and interdisciplinary research. The tour includes stops at the Engineering Gateway, active learning classrooms, collaborative project spaces, and state-of-the-art research labs. Along the way, faculty, staff, and students will share how these spaces are transforming the educational experience and advancing the mission of the Speed School. The tour offers a firsthand look at how the building reflects the future of engineering at UofL.
